Despite their youthful looks our experts have a combined experience of 60 plus years in the UK pool and spa industry and are all very well respected in their individual rights within the industry.

Spa Doctor Profile: Dorian Davies:

Dorian Davies has been employed in the swimming pool and spa industry for the entire 19 years of his professional life since leaving school after 'A' Levels at 18. Qualifying with distinction from the Institute of Swimming Pool Engineers (ISPE) student education course in 1989, Dorian has earned a reputation for his considerable technical knowledge of commercial and domestic pools and spas, particularly in the areas of filtration and water treatment, and has had many articles published in the trade press over the years. Dorian is currently the National Sales Manager at Sundance Spas UK Ltd, UK distributors of one of North America's most well known and respected portable hot tub brands, and sits on the committee of the British and Irish Spas & Hot Tubs Association (BISHTA).

Spa Doctor Profile: Jim Lamb

Jim Lamb has over 6 years experience in the pool and spa industry and was formerly a fully qualified mechanical engineer. Jim now runs his own pool and spa retail business, Regency Pools and Spas Ltd. in Churchdown, Gloucestershire. Prior to launching his own business Jim was a regional account manager for the UK's leading pool & spa water treatment specialist Biolab U.K. Jim is a well known character to the pool and spa industry as he has conducted many pool & spa training seminars for end users and retailers including British & Irish Spa & Hot Tub Association (BISHTA) accredited courses. He is technically qualified with the Institute of Swimming Pool Engineers (I.S.P.E.) and has become renowned for his expertise in the field of pool and spa water chemistry.


Spa Doctor Profile:  Simon McTiernan

Simon McTiernan has been involved with the spa industry for over 6 years and has a vast knowledge of the rapidly evolving UK spa market. This knowledge, together with his excellent technical experience makes him a valuable addition to our panel of spa doctors. Simon understands the importance of using new technology when getting the right information to the consumer, having come from an IT and sales & marketing background before entering the spa arena. As operations manager for BISHTA accredited LA SPAS UK Ltd, he is responsible for the sales, distribution and marketing of this well known and highly regarded Californian brand, celebrating their 30th year of manufacture in 2006.

Spa Doctor Profile: Jo Derbyshire

Jo Derbyshire has been involved in the hot tub industry for 9 years, starting out with Hotspring UK before working with Jacuzzi. She returned to Hotspring, one of the World's leading North American manufacturers, just over a year ago and has a wealth of knowledge and experience of every area of the hot tub industry.  Jo is also a self-confessed hot tub addict and starts off every day in the hot tub with a cup of tea before heading off to work. Then it's back in hot water most evenings to relax.  She is eagerly awaiting your questions about the joys of hot tub ownership and has lots of top tips about how to make your hot tub setting the ultimate life-enhancing addition to your home and garden.
